All these 3 parks are situated in Mount Dora. first of all The Gilbert Park, a lovely park nestled on Lake Dora’s edge. Both tourists and locals are welcomed by a brilliantly painted lighthouse, lots of parking for boaters, and big shade trees. This is a charming location in Mt. Dora, Florida, where locals bring visitors to showcase how great Mt. Dora is. Here, memories and prom and wedding photos are created. Although it isn’t very long, there are multiple stairs from the boardwalk that lead to well-travelled dirt pathways that can be explored further. Anhingas, coots, blue herons, etc. were all present. Parking is available nearby, however we had to circle a few times before finding a spot.

Here is a little bit about Grantham Point. This small park includes easy parking and a few shaded benches near the Palm Island Boardwalk. There is also a small trail that leads to a red and white lighthouse on a point that is inoperable and has chairs in the shade. It is a lovely escape from urban growth and still very close to town.

Mount Dora market place

A wonderful brewery is located inside the Mount Dora Marketplace, which is a really fun site to visit. The Marketplace, which is situated in the centre of the city, is home to vendors selling genuine foods from cultures including Asian, Mexican, Lebanese, and Greek. Also nearby are a bakery and a French creperie that we adore.

Fun location with a variety of food options, including breads and wonderful soft pretzels from European Breads; savoury and sweet crepes from Claire’s Crepes (we tried the strawberry with chocolate); cheese plates to enjoy with wine at The Cellar Door across the street; Funko’s Poke Bowls; and WolfBranch Brewery, which brews entertaining craft beers. The 5-year-old happily munched on his pretzel while we browsed. a wonderful location that will please every family member.
